About Pet Sitting in Athens
Athens offers a wonderful environment for pets, with green spaces like the National Garden and Philopappou Hill providing shaded trails perfect for morning walks. Neighborhoods such as Plaka and Kolonaki are full of pet-friendly cafes (Orizontes, Mamacas, Melina's in Psyrri) where locals enjoy the Mediterranean sun alongside their dogs and cats. Lycabettus Park in Kolonaki remains a top destination for walkers, with water fountains and shaded pathways.
Petme connects Athens pet owners with verified, local sitters who know the city inside out. Whether your pet needs boarding in leafy Kifisia, daily walks along the Glyfada seafront with its scenic coastal promenade, or drop-in visits in Nea Smyrni, our community of sitters delivers reliable, loving care across the entire Attica region. Veterinary clinics cluster around Voukourestiou (Kolonaki) and Athinais (city center), within minutes of most neighborhoods.
In Athens, the Protection Plan can contribute up to €20,000 toward eligible vet costs, and 24/7 support is available. From the slopes of Lycabettus Hill to the coastal promenade of Piraeus, your pet is in safe hands with sitters who know which parks allow off-leash play, which beach areas are dog-friendly, and which vets to contact in an emergency.
