Typical day rates across Swiss cities, with Zurich, Geneva and the tourist cities at the upper end. You set your own rate and your own headcount. With cashback, you keep up to 90%.

Weekday income that repeats

Every confirmed daycare booking on Petme automatically includes up to CHF 20,000 in emergency Protection Plan. Free for you, free for the owner.

Why daycare hosts choose Petme

Built for daycare hosts

Typical platforms take 20 to 40% of your earnings. Petme keeps a low service fee, adds cashback for your clients so they rebook week after week, and offers owners up to CHF 20,000 through the Protection Plan for eligible vet costs.

Host from home

No commercial kennel and no garden required. Many hosts run daycare from a flat with regular walk breaks, and set a headcount their space genuinely suits.

Daytime hours, evenings free

Drop-off in the morning, pick-up after work. Unlike overnight boarding, the dogs go home at the end of the day, so your evenings and your own space stay yours.

Protected on every day

Protection Plan up to CHF 20,000, so you never carry the liability alone.

Common questions

Doggy daycare jobs in Switzerland

What new daycare hosts ask before signing up on Petme in Switzerland.

How much do doggy daycare hosts earn per day in Switzerland?

Doggy daycare on Petme in Switzerland runs CHF 30 to 95 per dog per day, with Zurich, Geneva and the tourist cities at the upper end. You set your own day rate and how many dogs you take, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.

What does a daycare day actually involve?

Owners drop off before work and collect afterwards. In between you provide a safe space, supervised play, water, a rest period, and photo updates through the day. Most Swiss hosts take a small group they can manage comfortably rather than a full kennel load.

Do I need a commercial space or a garden?

No. Many Petme hosts run daycare from a home or an apartment with regular walk breaks. You decide how many dogs you accept at once and whether your space suits large or high-energy breeds, and you can decline any request that does not fit.

Do I need an SKN or a permit to host daycare in Switzerland?

Requirements are cantonal and depend on scale rather than on Petme. Occasional private care of a small number of dogs generally sits outside commercial kennel licensing, while handling certain dogs can carry canton-specific training or permit rules. Check your own canton before you scale up, and carry liability insurance if you host regularly.

When is daycare demand strongest in Switzerland?

Recurring weekday demand carries the year, strongest in commuter-dense cities like Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern where owners are out of the flat all day. Demand shifts toward overnight boarding around business travel and the summer and ski holidays.

Can I set my own days and headcount?

Yes. You choose your days, your hours, and how many dogs you host at a time, and you accept or decline every request. There are no assigned shifts and no minimum hours.

What Protection Plan do I get on daycare bookings?

Every confirmed Petme booking, including doggy daycare, automatically includes up to CHF 20,000 in emergency Protection Plan for the dog in your care, at no cost to you or the owner.
