A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Jackson

Jackson has a humid subtropical climate with long, hot summers that push into the mid-90s from June through September and short, mild winters. Sitters move walks to early morning and after sunset in high summer, check pavement heat before heading out, and keep water on hand during the humid stretch.

When demand peaks

Demand rises around the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Jackson State University schedules, when hospital staff and faculty work long or unpredictable shifts, and again over holiday travel weekends. Boarding and drop-in visits lead during vacations while dog walking stays steady for state-government and healthcare workers on weekday schedules.

Know your Jackson areas

Most cat bookings cluster Fondren to Eastover. Owners book the sitter who can reach them quickly for a daily visit, so the areas you list matter more than the distance you are willing to travel.
