A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Lafayette

Lafayette has a hot, humid subtropical climate with long summers, heavy rain, and hurricane season in Acadiana. Sitters run early-morning and evening routes to beat the heat and humidity, carry water at Girard Park, and watch storm advisories from summer into fall.

When demand peaks

Demand climbs over summer travel, the winter holidays, and Festival International and Mardi Gras weekends when owners host or travel. Boarding and house sitting lead during those stretches; walks and drop-ins carry the workweek.

Know your Lafayette areas

Most cat bookings cluster Downtown Lafayette to Youngsville. Owners book the sitter who can reach them quickly for a daily visit, so the areas you list matter more than the distance you are willing to travel.
