Dog care tips for Montreal
Keep your dog safe through Montreal's freezing winters and humid summers.
Winter survival
Montreal winters are brutal. Dogs need booties for salt and ice, and short-coated breeds need insulated jackets below minus 15.
Summer humidity
Montreal summers are hot and humid. Walk during cooler hours and watch for signs of heatstroke, especially in flat-faced breeds.
Borough rules vary
Different Montreal boroughs have different leash and breed rules. Check your local borough regulations before visiting a new park.
Bilingual commands
Many Montreal sitters are bilingual. Let your sitter know which language your dog responds to for commands.
