Caring for your cat in Portsmouth

Seasonal advice for Portsmouth cat owners

Coastal winds

Portsmouth's island location means strong coastal winds. Keep cat flaps sealed during storms and check for damp fur on returning outdoor cats.

Island city logistics

Portsmouth's density means less green space. Enrich your cat's indoor environment with climbing trees and window perches to compensate.

Road safety

As a dense island city, Portsmouth has busy roads. Consider limiting outdoor access during peak traffic hours to keep your cat safe.
