Caring for your cat in Leicester

Seasonal advice for Leicester cat owners

East Midlands winters

Leicester winters can be cold and icy. Ensure outdoor cats have a warm, dry place to shelter, and consider limiting outdoor access during severe frost.

Indoor enrichment

On grey days, keep your cat stimulated with puzzle feeders, climbing trees, and interactive toys to prevent boredom.

Traffic awareness

Leicester has busy arterial roads in many neighbourhoods. Microchip your cat and consider curfews around dawn and dusk to reduce road risk.
