Caring for your cat in Southampton

Seasonal advice for Southampton cat owners

Coastal weather

Southampton's coastal location brings mild but occasionally stormy weather. Keep cat flaps sealed during strong winds and check outdoor cats for damp fur.

Routine consistency

Cats near busy port areas can be sensitive to noise. Maintain consistent feeding times and quiet zones in your home to reduce stress.

Safe outdoor access

Southampton has busy roads near the docks. Consider enclosed garden solutions or cat-proof fencing for outdoor cats in urban areas.
